Salt Lake City is home to new and historical architecture that is both noteworthy and impressive, including the Salt Lake City main library, Utah State Capitol Building, Governor’s Mansion, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral. The Salt Lake City main library, which opened in 2003, is an awarding winning building that focuses on natural light and magnificent views. At Scottish Stained Glass we reflect these same concepts and principles throughout our designs. Our goal is to provide privacy and handcrafted, unique art while retaining natural light and exterior elements and views.
Similar to Salt Lake City, our stained glass windows include an array of design styles. All of our designs are custom, therefore your stained glass window can reflect your home’s décor whether it is more contemporary or traditional. We have worked with designs inspired by a variety of architects and architectural styles, including Prairie Style, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Greene & Greene, and even Charles Rennie Mackintosh. This Stained Glass Buffalo at the old Union Pacific Terminal exemplifies Salt Lake City’s pioneer roots!
Scottish Stained Glass can be applied in your home countless ways. Sidelights, doors, bedrooms, and bathrooms are the perfect place to incorporate stained and leaded glass windows. They create privacy by distorting the view into your home. Leaded glass also allows natural light and colors from the outside into the interior spaces. Kitchens and basements are also interesting spaces that can utilize stained glass in a functional yet appealing manner. Because all of our stained glass is custom, Scottish Stained Glass can be applied in windows that are any odd shape or size.
